DanceAbility Introduction to Teacher Training
ImPulsTanz offers a four-week DanceAbility Teacher training for those interested in leading inclusive movement groups. The course covers inclusive community-building, movement and improvisation techniques, class planning, and performance project leadership. During the first week of ImPulsTanz, I joined the DanceAbility course every morning (3hr), led by Alito Alessi and Connie Vandarakis.

Internship with Skånes Dansteater, Malmo, Sweden (June 2025)
Skånes Dansteater is Sweden’s largest independent dance institution and started including dancers with disabilities in its ensemble in 2014. Skanes leads the Europe Beyond Access consortium of 10 cultural organizations from 10 countries, an international initiative dedicated to promoting disabled and Deaf artists in the performing arts. Thanks to an Erasmus Traineeship grant I had received during my final year at MCAST, I had the chance to go to Skanes for 3 weeks, under the mentorship of Vidar Maggason and Olivia Arizmendi.
Highlights:
- Performing a duet with Olivia Arizmendi during the performance ‘Blå timme’ (Blue Hour), premiering along Malmö’s coastline during MalmöSommarscen. Guided by choreographer Madeleine Månsson, actor and radio producer Catrine Lundell, and composer Jonas Jonasson. Produced by Skånes Dansteater and the Viaductus project.
- 3-day workshop on partnering led by HuryCAN physical theatre and dance company.
- Spending the last week with the company dancers where I took part in classes and contributed to a company dancer Facundo Ebenegger’s research process

“I truly, truly love the life here at Skanes. It’s something really special for me. I get to start off the day by training with the company dancers in the gym (tomorrow I will have training and attending class with them) then I have a whole day of intense rehearsals which I truly love as well! This Sunday I will be attending a workshop led by one of the company dancers…I get to be part of a professional dance company and be integrated into company life.” From Angela’s journal, Thursday 12th June 2025
